Hurricane Earl Path Updates
National Weather service forecasters have raised Hurricane Earl to a category four storm, warning “catastrophic damage” will occur if it makes landfall as it crosses the Caribbean towards the US.The projected Hurricane Earl path still estimates the hurricane will be moving north. Forecasters expect the storm to strengthen before making landfall on the eastern United States.
The Hurricane Earl path also puts the hurricane close to the southern coast of New England, and by the weekend the hurricane may be affecting the area. Hurricane Earl formed Sunday and has been battering Caribbean islands including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands today with winds topping 125 mph, making it a Category 4 storm.
